Trends in Shoes for Spring Summer 2009

According to the new trends in shoes: wedges are still warm, but moving out; flats and gladiator sandals still in, platforms and stilettos have definitely shot up in height this summer.
The new shoes are all about the details - ruffles, fringes, straps, buckles, prints, beads or flowers and sculptural or embelished heels - anything will go.

Opt for high heels or platforms that will give you longer, leaner legs, while chunkier heels (block, stack or wedges) have the same effect and are easier to walk in.

Gladiator sandals can be easily worn with casual outfits, but women with thick legs should avoid wearing them as the straps on the ankles cut off the line of the leg making them look thicker and shorter.
