Chanel Couture Fall 2009

Chanel was firmly set on daywear, and Karl Lagerfeld once again proved his creativity and vision, translating them into a new proportion-miniskirt in front, long panel in the back. Grand Palais in Paris was the perfect scene for such a voluptuous show, consisting of pleated chiffon asymmetrical dresses and embellished tulle. |

Lagerfeld imagined his collection in charcoal and chocolate, black and silver. The show ended with Lara Stone in a ruffled mini, accompanied by Baptiste Giabiconi. |

Elie Saab chose the opposite of Chanel when it comes to colors. His collection was all white and consisted of 46 looks. Symmetry was one again left aside, as Saab was more interested in the harmony behind symmetric shapes. |
