High end fashion always manages to leave a powerful impression when creations that aspire to the 'masterpiece status' are being seen for the first time. However, Giorgio Armani's spring 2012 couture show was much more than that as it was full of surprises. Among the truly rare and unexpected moments that are destined to be remembered for a lifetime, the “The Help” actress Jessica Chastain found out that she was nominated for an Oscar. The happy event could not have come at a better time.
With the usual style rigor and sharp details, the latest couture collection was centered around the idea of metamorphosis and shows the multiple sides of “the woman who is at first calm and easy and then is drawn out of her own skin.” With sharp structures, fancy business-like suits and a touch of glamor to make the pieces memorable, the extensive collection seemed to have followed the style direction set by the Armani spring 2012 RTW collection in a more decisive and aggressive manner.
